Hirotaka Fujiwara, Attorney at Law, at been working with other Lion’s Club members on a school building project within Cambodia for some time. This has lead him to open a Koseisha, Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “Koseisha”), a Cambodian corporation with my friend Mr. Ouk Sam Nang. We have founded Koseisha at Siem Reap, the location of Angkor Wat, and I have taken the role of its director.

1. Providing Support for Investment in Cambodia

(1) Cambodia’s land registration is still in it developing stage, and research of ownership and current state of the property is necessary for real-estate transactions. Staff who can report in Japanese will conduct the research and prepare a report for you.

(2) We can provide arrangements for securing store locations, living locations, as well as hotels, travel and Japanese guide arrangements for when you search for real-estate to purchase.

(3) Assisting in opening bank accounts. Non-resesidents can open bank accounts ins Cambodia, but it is not easy to open a bank account at a bank branch using English. Staff who can speak Japanese will assist you in obtaining documentation necessary for opening bank accounts, translation with communication with bank staff, and other assistance.

(4)Fees.
The cost for hiring a car for six for a day is around 100 USD a day, and around an additional 120 USD will be required for a Japanese guide.

2. Support for Founding a Cambodian Corporation

To found a Cambodian corporation which can purchase land in Cambodia, a Cambodian national or a Cambodian corporation must hold more than 50% shares. Koseisha is a Cambosian corporation, and can assist investors in founding Cambodian corporations by providing Cambodian capital.

3. Working with Lawyers on Legal Matters

We work together with Mr. Moeurn Dovann, a Cambodian attorney in Siem Reap, to prepare contacts in both Khmer and English, research ownership, and other legal services whenever necessary, to preform safe investment into Cambodia.
